What To Expect In Our 4 Week Anger Management Therapy Program

Our anger management therapy program is offered to help those who have been charged with assault. This program is eight sessions long and completed within 4 weeks. Sessions are private, one-on-one (no group therapy or workshops here), and delivered by a registered mental health professional who specializes in treating anger issues.
Additionally, our sessions provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can freely talk about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. We understand that you may have been mistreated and prejudged, which is why we want to meet you with compassion and understanding.
What Topics We’ll Explore In Anger Management Therapy
Some of the topics we’ll cover in our sessions include:
- Creating a tailored Anger Management Action Plan
- Uncovering your history with anger
- Identifying triggers that lead to anger
- Role-playing scenarios of conflict
- Learning resolution and communication skills
- Coping strategies for managing feelings of anger
Our counsellors draw from a wide range of evidence-based treatment methods to help with anger management, including Positive Psychology, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness techniques, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Through our comprehensive, skills-based approach, you will gain strategies for regulating your emotions effectively, navigating conflict peacefully, and responding to triggering situations without losing your temper. This way, you’ll be able to avoid relapsing into old behaviours and enjoy healthier relationships going forward.
