Pamela Baker
— Social worker, MSW, RSW I help clients understand the source of specific behaviours and emotional patterns to empower them to make functional changes.

About Pamela
I am a registered Social Worker (RSW) with over 20+ years of counselling experience in mental health and addiction. I’ve been helping people in various settings, including group homes, youth homes and corrections, victim services, addiction centres, and community health centres.
I have unique expertise in trauma counselling, including the Traumatic Incident Reduction technique, and specialties in addictions, mood disorders and mindfulness-based strategies. I also have a holistic approach to counselling, and I like to explore the mind, body, and spirit using my certification as an Integrative Mental Health Professional.
My diverse background in counselling allows me to use various complementary techniques that would best suit your needs. These include Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, among others, that would help meet you where you are in your growth process.
My goal as a practitioner has been to help people get through stressful challenges by questioning negative thoughts and understanding the source of specific behaviours and emotional patterns to empower them to make functional changes. I’ve always been able to help people grow and evolve and look forward to doing the same with you.
